Delete your account
Last updated 4 August 2026
You can delete your CRUZIER account at any time. This is a deletion, not a deactivation, and it cannot be undone.
The fastest way is in the app
Open CRUZIER, go to the Profile tab, then Account settings, then Delete your account. It is two taps from the main tab bar, and you will be asked to type a confirmation.
What gets erased
- Your profile, including every field you filled in
- All of your photos, public and private album
- Your messages and conversation history
- Your location history and last known position
- Your verification records, including any identity document you submitted
- Your health details, if you added any
- Your travel plans, group meetups, and safety session contacts
What we keep, and why
We retain a minimal record where the law requires it or where deleting it would let a banned account be recreated immediately. That record is kept separately, is not part of any profile, and is not visible to any member.
- Transaction records we are required to keep for tax and accounting
- A record that an account was banned for a safety violation
- Evidence preserved for law enforcement in an open child safety or violent threat matter
Copies may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups rotate out.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your CRUZIER account does not cancel your subscription. Subscriptions are billed by your app store, so you must cancel there first, or billing continues.
On iOS: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then CRUZIER, then Cancel Subscription.
If you cannot get into the app
If you have lost access to your account, email privacy@cruzier.io from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We will verify that the request is genuinely yours before we act on it, because an unverified deletion request is itself a way to attack someone.
We complete verified requests within 30 days, and sooner where your local law requires it.
Questions first
If something specific pushed you toward deleting, we would rather fix it. Support can help with blocking, hiding your location, or pausing notifications, none of which require losing your account.
