Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 August 2026
CRUZIER is a dating and social app for LGBTQ+ adults. That means the information you give us is sensitive by nature, and we treat it that way. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to get rid of it.
1. Information you give us
| What | Why we need it | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, name or display name | To create and secure your account | Your display name is public. Your email is not. |
| Date of birth | To confirm you are 18 or over | Only your age is shown, never your date of birth. |
| Profile details: position, tribes, body type, height, weight, what you are looking for | To let people find people they are drawn to | Public on your profile. |
| Photos, including private album photos | To build your profile and share with people you choose | Public photos are public. Album photos only go to people you grant access. |
| Messages | To deliver your conversations | You and the person you are talking to. Moderators, only if reported. |
| Health status, last tested date, prevention method | Optional context you may choose to share | Public on your profile only if you add it. Never used to rank or filter anyone. |
| Verification: identity document and a fresh selfie | To reduce fake and AI generated profiles | Never shown publicly. Others see only a verified badge. |
2. Sensitive information
Some of what CRUZIER handles is sensitive personal information under laws including the GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws. That includes data revealing sexual orientation, and any health information you choose to add.
We collect it only where you actively provide it, we use it only to operate the features you asked for, and we do not sell it, share it for cross context advertising, or use it for advertising of any kind. Every one of these fields is optional, editable, and deletable. A single action in the app removes all health details from your profile at once.
3. Location
Location is central to the product, so it gets its own rules.
- CRUZIER requests location only while you are using the app. You can decline and still use discovery.
- Approximate is the default. Your map pin is randomized inside a local area before it ever leaves our servers. Other members are not sent your exact coordinates.
- Hidden removes you from the map entirely while leaving the rest of the app working.
- Distances shown on profiles are rounded and derived from the precision level you chose.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency permission.
- We do not use advertising networks inside the app.
- We do not analyze your photos to rank or score you.
- We do not use health status or orientation as a filter or a ranking input.
- We do not publish your identity document, your email, or your date of birth.
5. Information collected automatically
We collect a user identifier, device and app version, and crash diagnostics. Crash data is not linked to your identity. We use this to keep the service working and to investigate abuse, and for nothing else.
6. Who we share with
We share only with service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, such as cloud hosting, identity verification, and content moderation vendors. They may use your data only to perform that service for us.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm to a person, including reports we are obligated to make about child sexual abuse material.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account we erase your profile, photos, messages and location history as described in deleting your account. We retain a minimal record where we must for legal, safety or fraud prevention reasons, such as a record that a banned account existed so it cannot simply be recreated.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly in the app. For anything else, contact privacy@cruzier.io and we will respond within the period your law requires.
Exercising these rights never costs you anything and never degrades your service.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to staff who need it, and identity documents are held under tighter restrictions than the rest of the system. No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
10. Age
CRUZIER is strictly for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we remove it and delete the associated data. See our child safety standard.
11. International transfers
We operate from the United States and process data there. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK we rely on appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes
If we make a material change we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
13. Who we are, and how to reach us
CRUZIER is operated by TechStack Consulting LLC, a Texas limited liability company. TechStack Consulting LLC is the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
